The thawed body of a creature reputed to be Bigfoot reportedly weighs more than 500 pounds.A pair of Georgia men faced more than a half-hour of skeptical questions from reporters Friday as they defended their claim that they stumbled upon the body of Bigfoot while hiking in a remote North Georgia forest.

Introduced by a publicist and beside a man who promoted what turned out to be a fake Bigfoot discovery in 1995, Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer repeatedly said that their claim is not a hoax and that scientific analysis Georgia men defend Bigfoot body claimswill prove it.

“We were not looking for Bigfoot. … We wouldn’t know what we were doing if we did,” said Whitton, a police officer on leave after being shot in the hand while making an arrest. “I didn’t believe in Bigfoot at the time. … But you’ve got to come to terms with it and realize you’ve got something special. And that’s what it was.”

The men say they were hiking in early June when they discovered the body of a 7-foot-7, 500-pound half-ape, half-human creature near a stream. They also claim to have spotted about three similar living creatures — and showed reporters video stills of what they say is one of those creatures shadowing them through the woods.

Apollo Astronaut Edgar Mitchell Claims UFO Cover UpFormer Apollo 14 moonwalker Edgar Mitchell claimed, in a recent radio interview, that not only have aliens been visiting the Earth for the past sixty years since the Roswell incident, but that Earth governments are aware of this fact and are covering it up.

Edgar Mitchell claims that sources at NASA, the military, and the intelligence community have described these aliens as, “little people who look strange to us.” The aliens have a small body frame, a large head, and large eyes as has been traditionally depicted in popular films and television.

Edgar Mitchell made the claim on the popular British radio show Kerrang!, which generally covers music and popular culture. The host of the show, Nick Margerrison, thought at first that Edgar Mitchell was indulging in a little astronaut humor until he realized that Mitchell was deadly serious.

NASA, of course, is trying to downplay Edgar Mitchell’s remarks and is denying that it is involved in some sort of alien conspiracy cover up.

Edgar Mitchell spent nine hours walking on the Moon in February, 1971 at the Fra Mauro highlands during the Mission of Apollo 14. Apollo 14 was commanded by Mercury astronaut Alan Shepard. With Shepard, Edgar Mitchell holds the record for the longest moonwalk in history.

Edgar Mitchell has long been interested in esoteric subjects, including paranormal phenomenon. He conducted private ESP experiments with some friends on Earth during his Apollo 14 flight. Later Edgar Mitchell founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences to conduct research into subjects he feels have been neglected by mainstream science, such as human consciousness and psychic phenomenon.

There is an epidemic of sightings in the UK and Australia as well…hmmm.

Source: cbc.ca

A record 24 sightings of unidentified flying objects were reported in New Brunswick in 2007, according to an annual report released by the Winnipeg-based Ufology Research Institute.

A total of 836 sightings were reported in Canada in 2007 according to the report, which was released Wednesday.

The year saw a shift from British Columbia usually holding the top position for sightings to Canada’s east.

New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec had a record number of sightings in 2007 since the reports began to be published in 1989.

One of the most puzzling sightings was in Saint John on Nov. 3, 2007, said research co-ordinator Chris Rutkowski.

Two people observed a tube-shaped object that appeared to be hovering over the port city, Rutkowski said.

“It suddenly shot away and they don’t understand what it was because they were watching it one minute and they went around the corner it was simply not there,” he said.
