England’s enigmatic Stonehenge served as a burial ground from its earliest beginnings and for several hundred years thereafter, new research indicates.

Dating of cremated remains shows burials took place as early as 3000 B.C., when the first ditches around the monument were being built, researchers said Thursday.

And those burials continued for at least 500 years, when the giant stones that mark the mysterious circle were being erected, they said.

“It’s now clear that burials were a major component of Stonehenge in all its main stages,” said Mike Parker Pearson, archaeology professor at the University of Sheffield in England and head of the Stonehenge Riverside Archaeological Project.

A man wants Denver city voters to set up a commission to prepare for visits from space aliens, and he plans to release a videotape Friday that convinced him there is life on other planets.

Jeff Peckman proposes an 18-member Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission. He said his footage shows 4-foot-tall gray aliens.

“You could see them blink as they looked in a window and panned a room,” Peckman said as he met Thursday with city officials for a required review of his ballot proposal.

Indeed. I’ve been reading Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind, by C. D. B. Bryan and the similarities between alien abduction and demonic activity are rather striking, if you know what you are looking for. For example, he describes a multi-generation abduction scenario in his book that is very close to what Malachi Martin described as generational possession, so I can see where this guy’s book may make for an interesting read.

In his new book, The Nephilim Imperatives: Dark Sentences (The Second Coming Chronicles) (Anomalos Publishing/Highway Books, 2007), James explores the connection between UFOs, spiritual warfare and end-times prophecy, suggesting that the Biblical concept of “nephilim” is a possible explanation for alien abduction.

Nephilim, as they are called in the Bible, are satanic hybrids born of sexual union between fallen angels (demons) and women. Such inter-dimensional abomination took place, according to the Biblical account, during the time of Noah.

“The similarity between the abduction experience and demonic possession is very, very close,” says James. “One of the evil objectives of the sexual union of fallen angels and women as we move toward the end-times, could be to create a non-human society on earth which would be impossible to be redeemed by Christ during the tribulation described in the book of Revelation.”
